How Microbiome Summit 2024 Sparked New Ideas and Connections for a Healthier Future

G-NiiB GenieBiome was proud to co-organize a large and successful Microbiome Summit from 11 to 12 Jan 2024, together with Microbiota-I Center (MagIC), in Hong Kong Science Park. The summit attracted over 400 microbiota leaders, academic professors, industry players worldwide and young minds from local secondary schools and universities to share and discuss the latest discoveries and findings on gut microbiome and health.

The summit featured:

  • Day 1: GenieBiome Sponsored Satellite Workshop with themes ranging from H. Pylori Eradication, Meta-Exposome and Gut Microbiome, Intestinal Barrier Function in Vedolizumab Therapy, Colon-Centred Microbial Therapy, and Gut Microbiome based Non-Invasive Colorectal Cancer Diagnostics
  • Day 2: Fireside Chat – Microbiome Innovation and Biotechnology: Opportunities and Challenges led by Prof Francis Chan and a group of panel participants, including our G-NiiB GenieBiome CEO Ms Rachel Fan
  • Day 2: GenieBiome Symposium – Disruptive Technology in Biomarkers with presentations by Prof Mark Morrison on IBD Biomarker: Ready for Prime Time?, Prof Louis Lau on New Advances in Non-invasive Biomarkers for Colorectal Cancer, and a panel discussion by Prof Raja Affendi Raja Ali, Prof Louis Lau, Assistant Prof Julajak Limsrivilai, and Prof Mark Morrison

The summit enabled attendees to be aware and understand how novel microbiome discoveries could be transferred to novel microbiome therapeutic and diagnostic inventions and benefit mankind through meaningful commercialization.

We would like to thank all the speakers, sponsors, co-organizers, and attendees for their great support and kind endorsement on the Microbiome Summit this year. We will continue our good work and bring you an inspiring summit in 2025!
